Can food creators outside Canada join the GetLadle Creator Program?
Yes. The GetLadle Creator Program pays creators in 33 countries: Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and 29 European Economic Area countries. Payouts are made in Canadian dollars through Stripe and converted to your local currency. If you live somewhere else, you can still apply and earn commission, but payouts outside these countries are not available yet. We are adding more, so email hello@getladle.com and tell us where you are.
33 countries can be paid today. Anywhere else, you can apply, but we cannot pay out yet.
The 33 countries
| Group | Countries |
|---|---|
| Canada | Canada |
| United States | United States |
| United Kingdom | United Kingdom |
| Switzerland | Switzerland |
| European Economic Area (29) | Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden |
That is 33 countries in all. Payouts to creators outside Canada are cross-border payouts from GetLadle's Canadian Stripe account, which Stripe supports to connected accounts in these regions.
How payment works outside Canada
- You apply, pick a code and share your link. A customer subscribes on the GetLadle website and pays.
- The commission is held for 30 days, then confirmed if the payment was not refunded or charged back.
- The commission is calculated in Canadian dollars: because customers pay in their own currency, we calculate it on the amount we receive in Canadian dollars.
- Once your confirmed balance reaches CA$25, it goes out in the next monthly payout. Smaller balances roll over.
- Stripe collects your bank and identity details and converts the Canadian dollars to your local currency at its own exchange rate.
Tax and VAT
Creators outside Canada are responsible for their own VAT or GST and income tax. US creators need a W-9 on file before their first payout, and we may ask other creators for a tax form too. Payouts can be delayed until we have it. GetLadle cannot give tax advice, so ask an accountant what applies to you.
If your country is not on the list
You can still apply, and an approved creator gets a link, a code and a dashboard. What is missing today is the payout: we cannot pay commission into countries outside the 33 yet. We are adding more. If that is you, email hello@getladle.com and tell us where you live, so we can let you know when payouts reach you.
Disclosure rules are the same everywhere
Every post needs #ad at the start of the caption, a spoken or on-screen disclosure inside the video, and the platform paid-partnership setting. The FTC says affiliate commissions should be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. If your country has its own advertising rules, follow those too.
How GetLadle's program works for creators everywhere
The rate is 30% recurring commission on each paid invoice for up to 12 monthly payments, and an annual plan pays once. A sign-up counts when it follows your link or code within 30 days. It is free to join, approval is usually automatic, and there is no payment for recruiting other creators. The program is web only and not shown inside the iOS or Android apps. Earnings depend on your audience and are not a promise.
Perks sit on top: GetLadle applies a free Sous Chef or Head Chef month when you meet a published monthly target.
Terms and the application are on the Creator Program page.
